Sandra believes that art is a unique way to connect emotionally with the observer.  She has worked in a variety of media, but now mostly focuses on colorful, impressionistic oils and small watercolor cards, which she sells individually and as themed packaged sets.  Her work tends to be narrative and sometimes provocative. Her subject matter is diverse: landscapes, figures, animals, interiors.  She is inspired by whatever makes her laugh or feel peaceful, and is particularly drawn to animals and their relationship to humans.  Her work often conveys her conviction that we humans are “just another species”, that we tend to take ourselves too seriously, and that we have much to learn from other animals.
